If one of your new year’s resolutions is to eat healthier, but you love your barbecue all year round – what do you do? Here are a few tips to make that winter barbecue sizzle with healthy food.

- Chili sauce
- Tomato paste
- Soy sauce

Substitute the white breads with whole wheat for hot dog or burger buns. Try the multigrain tortilla chips instead of the regular tortilla chips for a “chips’n’dip” option. A crunchy salad with fruits and nuts is a great offset to the heavier barbecue offerings.
You can go all veggie and cook garden burgers and veggie dogs – or you mix up the meat on your grill with a whole lot of delicious vegetables. Try grilling eggplant, bell peppers, yams, asparagus or corn on the cob. Are your vegetables falling through the grid? You can easily make little pouches of aluminum foil and fill them with a variety of vegetables. Try something new

Try grilling squash, adding watermelon to your salad or this melted onion recipe from Weber.
