1. They’re simple to install, and you don’t need to dig up your lawn!
The construction necessary for an above ground swimming pool is minimal. Unlike an in-ground pool, there is no required digging, just building! But, while digging is not necessary for an above ground pool, it is still an option if you’d prefer to have a deep end in your pool.

2. You can customize them more than you can an in ground pool.
Not only can you specify the size, shape, and material of your above ground pool, but since Doughboy pools don’t end up buried in your yard, you can also customize the pool’s exterior walls to perfectly suit your backyard!

3. They’re portable!
Doughboy pride themselves on the portability of their above ground pools. Moving? Take your pool with you! Is the oak tree looking suspiciously older than it was before? Relocate your pool to a safer spot! Though it sounds easy, high quality pools like Doughboy really
shouldn’t be moved because they’ll become the central point of your backyard. And, though they are temporary, the average Doughboy above ground pool will last well over 20 years, and with a lifetime warranty, you can be sure your family will be enjoying your pool for a very long time.

4. It’s an excuse to get a new deck or revamp your landscape!
Above ground pools may be portable, but a quality pool will stay in its original place. You can also choose to build a new deck or patio. Having a deck or patio with an above ground pool is the perfect way to centralize all of your backyard activities like grilling, and relaxing in the hot tub. And, not only could it end up giving you more space in your backyard, it would also make cleaning your pool much easier due to easier access.

5. They’re safer!
For obvious reasons, a small child or pet is far less likely to accidentally fall into an above ground pool than an in ground pool; however, it is important to note that the addition of a deck would increase these risk factors, so it is important to maintain good safety habits around your pool.

6. They require less maintenance and are a lot less expensive
An above ground pool is just as much a pool as one in the ground, except they are far less expensive overall and above ground pool maintenance is much easier. In general, the equipment expenses and liner replacements are DIY-friendly for above ground pools, meaning that unlike an in ground pool, though we still recommend it, you don’t necessarily need a service technician to come in and replace your liners, equipment, and more; you can just do it yourself!

7. They’re just as fun as any other pool.
One thing is for sure: Having an above ground pool is way better than not having an above ground pool. After all, a pool is a pool is a pool, am I right?
